apple vacations over charges

while booking a vacation from baltimore to cancun, i checked out applevactions. friends had already booked and we wanted to travel with them. apple vacations "package" was $400- $500(per 2 people) more than booking air and hotel separate. i used the same airline ,USA 3000, and exact flight as apple vacations so that we could travel with our friends.

i called apple and asked why the huge difference.i thought maybe the services were different or something. the best she could come up with was the convenience and reassurance of a travel agent, but said i would recieve the same quality vacation as our friends.

so i booked thru usa 3000 website the airfare, and used apple for the hotel, the Riu Las Palace Americas and i saved $450.00. oh by the way apple vacations OWNS Usa 3000!!!!!

Apple buys the airfare (from its own sister company) then jacks it up almost $200 per person.

Rates for air fair can change in a matter of minutes...Sometimes seconds. Thats just the way the cookie crumbles unfortunately.
