Credit not given

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Apple vacations are refusing to give credit for unused airline tickets for a vacation to Cancun that we cancelled due to the CDC rules of a negative covid test. They are insisting that the airline is charging $200 per person penalty. I called them, and they did not charge any penalty. Also, it took 5 months for them to issue the credit they did give us. You can't call them, they never answer the phone.

Refund of monies

A group of friends and I scheduled a vacation with Legacy Travel to go to a resort in Montego Bay, Jamaica on March 29th 2020. I was booked in a room with 2 other people.

A few weeks prior to COVID-19 shut down, Legacy Travel stated we can either reschedule or receive a refund with a $250 cancellation fee. I decided to cancel and the remainder of the group did also except for the two ladies I was in the room with. Audrey(whom I'm told no longer works there) sent an email and a text message confirming that I should receive my refund in May. As May was approaching, I reached out to Audrey and asked if she could provide a more definite date of the refund, and she claimed she was unable to provide due to all the cancellations and refunds submitted.

I called my bank to dispute the charges on April 29th because I could not receive any updates from Audrey. June 25, I received a letter from my bank Wells Fargo and was told Apple Travel refused the refund and claimed the funds were transferable credit only. Frustrated, I contacted Legacy Travel and spoke with Lori, I believe. She claimed everyone received their refund who requested except for myself because there as a "chargeback" pending.

When I asked to explain further, she claimed I filed a claim and it in a holding status. I couldn't understand why I was in a chargeback status when the other ladies in the group received their refunds and also filed a claim with their bank. One of the ladies also banks with Wells Fargo. Lori placed me on hold and spoke to Katherine Banks, she advised they were going to expedite my refund and I should receive it in 2 weeks.

NO refund .

Called Legacy Travel on July 16th and asked for Katherine. She repeated the exact same words Lori mentioned it in chargeback status and I needed to clear it with my bank.

I called Wells Fargo, and they stated they could not open up another claim with VISA because Apple Vacations told them it was only transferable. I called Katherine back and told her this. She stated she would do some research and call me back.

She called back and said something different!!!

She now claimed Apple Vacations will not refund me, its only transferable.

WHAT????? She claims she'll do what she can to dispute

My vacation was scheduled in MARCH.

The other two ladies have a new intinerary

THEIR NAMES , NOT MINE.

It's July 22nd and still no updates from Legacy Travel.

Please provide assistance.

Have not received refund

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

On June 1, 2020 I requested a refund from Legacy Travel (vendor for Apple Vacations) for a destination wedding in July that was canceled by the couple. Legacy Travel tried to get me to use the travel credit for later instead of getting a refund.

If I wanted a credit, I would have requested one. I told her to proceed with the refund process, and she charged my card $100 immediately. She told me the refund would take up to 90 days because "due to COVID" they are processing a large amount of refunds. Not satisfied with this time frame, I contacted Apple Vacations directly via email and they told me the same thing before I provided them with any reservation info.

I sent them my final invoice which included my reservation info and was told I needed to contact a representative. I did not call so that I could continue to keep written record of all communication. I waited a few days, then on June 4, I emailed Apple Vacations for a status request. They did not respond.

On June 5, I mailed Apple Vacations (attn Accounting/Finance) a demand letter, requesting that they process my refund within 15 business days so that I do not have to take further action. On June 11, I emailed Legacy Travel asking her for a status and she told me again it would take up to 90 days. I then emailed Apple Vacations asking them the same thing AGAIN. They responded 3 days later on June 14, and told me they could not open my attachment (which was the same invoice created with THEIR letterhead that had been sent with the June 1 email), and asked me to provide a confirmation number.

I provided my information AGAIN. I then began to research reviews on Apple Vacations and saw that this was happening to several people and the explanation they provide is COVID. While I understand they may need to keep paying their employees, they should not be using customer refunds to do so. It took them less than 2 hours to charge my card every time I made a payment, but I am expected to wait up to 90 days to get my money back.

I also let Apple Vacations know that if I do not get my refund ASAP, I will pursue legal action.

I am taking every step possible to prevent from having to go that route but they have not handled this issue in a timely manner and it appears many other customers are dealing with the same disregard. This is totally unprofessional and unacceptable!

Hello! I am having the same problem with them.

So frustrating! I have sent emails asking for someone to call me, crickets! When I call I get the run around telling me I have to email them. I do what they ask and get zero response.

Cheap Carribean will be getting my business for now on. I have used them multiple times in the past and never had an issue like this.

Refuse to release refund for March 2020 trip

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I am writing because Southwest Vacations and Apple vacations has been holding my airfare refund hostage since March/April 2020. They provide zero communication or feedback and you have no way of contacting them to find out if there is an issue. The response/excuse of 'volume' and 'COVID-19' is purely an excuse on the part of a horrible company that should go bankrupt or simply close up shop. Note, I called Southwest Airlines and they confirmed that you, Southwest vacation/(ALG) received the money back to your corporate card on May 2nd. If you can get your refund so quickly from Southwest Airlines why can't you get me my refund just as quickly? You are holding my money hostage and it is horrible customer service and just a bad and unprofessional way to do business.

Hold time interminable!

I have tried for weeks to connect with an agent to cancel my reservation via phone and email. Email customer service said I need to talk to an agent to cancel. Phone wait times have averaged from 60 -120 minutes. Today I phoned at 8am CST and was told I was next caller in line. I have been on hold for 2 hours! This is not right. I need someone to please call me back.

There are many cancellations going on and we all understanding that but Apple is the only company that takes your money and does not return it. Priceline returned your money in 10 days, airlines immediately contacts the customer and is working out credits or vouchers - Apple is not returning emails or phone calls and will not do anything to work with a customer to get their refunds.

Do not stay at Dreams Villamagna Puerta Vallarta

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
We just returned from our one week vacation at Dreams Villamagna resort. As I have stayed at 4 other dreams resort in Mexico, I felt confident that this was a good choice. We were surprised when we needed to upgrade to an ocean view to not look at the street. But were willing to pay extra. Our first experience in eating was awful. The food selection was limited. We were not given the opportunity to eat outside for lunch. And lunch did not open until 1:00 pm. Dinner until 7:00 No other options for lunch or dinner. We went to get chairs by the pool, only to discover that they were all taken. The hotel was not allowed to put out more chairs because we shared the pool with the condo residents. We spoke to an Apple representative as well as the concierge. The concierge was most helpful, but does not have much control over the food. We did not eat any dinners in the hotel, as when we did try the specialty restaurant, found the meal to be inedible. I never saw the texture of the chicken before in my life. The open concept in the bathroom, made it quite uncomfortable for a friend relationship and not a spouse. We asked to be moved to another hotel and told there would be a substantial increase in cost, and that there were no available rooms. The concierge was most helpful in adapting our shower and toilet area.style=" I did recommend Dreams to friends that had booked Dreams in March. I expressed my distaste for this vacation and and they cancelled their reservation and booking with Hilton instead. I will be rethinking my relationship with Apple and Dreams in the future and will look into other travel options. They even saved $160.00 per person, while we were never offered any compensation for expenses incurred for Taxi cabs and dinners.
